Specialist business brokerage Bristol Business Brokers has announced the appointment of 2 new members of staff to cater for increased demand and expand its coverage. The business has seen strong growth since being founded in 2018 and these new appointments will see it triple in size. 

Client Director Paul Tilson and Account Director Jarid Clark-Bound will join Managing Director and Founder Simon Norton to support more clients, enable greater resources to be allocated to deals and reach a wider network of buyers across the UK and overseas.

Specialising in the buying and selling of businesses particularly in the accountancy, telecoms and IT sectors, Bristol Business Brokers is experiencing an upturn in demand as business owners look to accelerate retirement plans in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

The firm takes a hands on approach to brokering, understanding that every business is different and recognising that a business is often worth more than its monetary value alone. 

Throughout the lockdown, Bristol Business Brokers moved to virtual meetings quickly to enable them to connect with potential buyers and sellers whilst adhering to social distancing rules. 

The new appointments come at a time of strong growth for the business, Simon Norton, Founder, said “Since being established in 2018, we’ve experienced a steady increase in enquiries and number of completed deals. Client Director Paul Tilson has over 25 years of sales and business development and will be responsible for new business development; Paul has a reputation for building strong customer relationships and his personal approach has helped close several high-profile deals in the past.

When asked about his appointment, Paul said: “I am excited to be joining a business with such a strong pipeline and a bright future ahead. As client director, I have already begun forming relationships with new clients particularly those based in the Midland and the North.”

Jarid Clark-Bound joins the team as Account Director and will be responsible for the management of existing client campaigns, Jarid has a wealth of experience in generating new business and managing accounts, previously being responsible for large portfolios of projects in sectors including IT, hospitality and the NHS.

Jarid added: “Since joining Bristol Business Brokers, I have been meeting existing clients and supporting deals that are in progress. I’ve seen the ambition this business has first hand and was impressed by the unique personal approach taken to buying and selling businesses.”
